From the 70s till mid 2000, the Blue Moon hotel held a legacy of its own and had been an outstanding and a delectable memory for thousands of loyal patrons. Blue Moon was unparalleled in style, design and service and was considered to be an indelible part Hyderabad's soul. Having played host to hundreds of celebrities, politicians, movie stars and elite businessmen, Blue Moon was a testimony to the hospitality philosophy of our twin cities. Such was the stature of this great hotel that it was believed to be a true successor of the historically cherished Nizami hospitality.
Blue Moon Hotel flourished to unmatchable success owing to its spirit of excellence and service nonpareil. The only five star hotel at that time was the Banjara. Being second to none however, the Blue Moon stood out as the first of the 3 star hotels in Hyderabad. With two premium restaurants, a lounge bar and a coffee shop, Blue Moon was the first choice for the Hyderabadi elite. With its exquisite, dainty and dazzling food among an array of cuisines in Continental, Italian, English and French, there was an exclusive addition of Chinese, and our very own Indian exotic dishes dotting the menu.
Blue Moon Hotel has been recently demolished due to road widening requirements of the government. However a massive shopping mall with 9 floors, a 3 level car parking for 750 cars is being planned in the area and will once again bring the beautiful Blue Moon to life with a rich repast of culinary excellence.
